FAQ's

    Why Digital?

Film photography has some unavoidable risks. Film can be lost or damaged during shooting and development, also, incorrect exposures without the use of an instant digital preview can lead to very dark or washed out prints which are unacceptable. Trusting a low priced, understudied amateur film photographer and his local photo lab is a risk you shouldn't worry about during such a special occasion.

How does the quality of prints from high-end digital files compare with prints from film negatives?

In side by side enlargement tests of digital prints versus film prints, digital prints, and the computer technology backing it up, win without question. The color is more vibrant, the "grain" is invisible, and the sharpness is greater overall.

What other options does digital imaging give me over film?

  • More natural re-touching techniques for color and faces.
  • Options for black and white or sepia tones from any of the original color images.
  • Custom cropping and enlargements without grain, or image quality loss.
  • High end digital files are all stored on CD so it's easy to e-mail your favorites, burn duplicate CD's, create photo cards, or have reprints made from us, or a professional photo lab of your choice. You own all of you digital "negatives".
  • Archival printing on canvas, watercolor paper, or photo-quality papers without fading for up to 100 years.
